From State Highway 487, 22 miles north of Medicine Bow, take the State Highway 77 turnoff. Proceed 6.1 miles to unmarked BLM route 3127. Take a right onto that route. Stay right at the fork .7 miles in, and continue for another 1 mile to Shirley Basin Reservoir.
