From Skykomish, WA take US-2 east for about .8 miles then turn north onto Beckler Road #65, toward Beckler River Campground. Drive approximatley 15 miles on Beckler Road/Forest Service Road #65 then turn right on Forest Service Road #63. Continue 4.2 miles to the end of #63.The old North Fork Skykomish trailhead is 1.5 miles on the old roadbed past the new trailhead, which has lengthened the hike by 1.5 miles.
