About Fisher Towers National Recreation Trail

This small campground accommodates tents only (no trailers or RVs) and offers some of the most expansive and striking views in the area. The views of Colorado River basin, including Castle Rock, Castle Valley and the Bookcliffs to the north, are stunning. Individual sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This area features a National Scenic Trail which winds for 2.2 miles around the base of Fisher Towers and climbs up to nearly 360 degree views. Nighttime brings excellent star grazing viewing opportunities.The towers themselves are popular with experienced climbers. Individual Sites: 5 Fees: $20/night Water: No Toilets: Yes Hook-ups: No

From the junction of Hwy. 191 & Hwy 128, drive east 22 miles along the Colorado River. At the campground sign, turn right and drive 2.2 miles up the gravel road.
