About Rocky Peak Trailhead

Visitors to the Three Peaks Recreation Area enjoy hiking among many other recreation opportunities. A popular hike, Rocky Peak Trail, is located near the large group camping area, park at the Rocky Peak Trailhead and the trail leads to the top of one of the peaks in the area. This is a relatively short hike, however, it can be steep in areas. The uphill hike is greatly rewarded with a stunning 360 view of the surrounding area. There are other opportunities to hike around and explore the Three Peaks Area, with varying terrain, large areas to explore, and a variety of wildlife to be seen. Three Peaks has something to offer every hiker.

How to Get There

From I-15 take exit 59 for UT-56 toward Cedar City. Head west on UT-56/W 200 N. Turn right on Lund Highway/N 3100 W. Next turn left on W 4800 N/W Midvalley Rd. Continue onto gravel road for 0.5 miles following signs for Rocky Peak Trailhead. Turn left at sign a continue straight for 0.5 miles. At the entrance of the Rocky Peak Campground take a slight right and continue for 0.06 mile and turn left. Continue for 0.05 miles and turn right. Continue for 0.07miles and the trailhead will be on the right hand side.
