It will reopen to the public as soon as trail work is complete***This trailhead is the southern access point for Scotty Creek Trail (#838), which travels north for 4.2 miles and terminates at Cougar West Trailhead.The area is located on the edge of a small meadow surrounded by large pine and fir trees just north of Mill Creek Wilderness. This spot was a watering hole for sheep at Grant Spring in days gone by.

How to Get There

From Prineville, Oregon:Head east for approximately 28 miles on Highway 26.Turn left onto Forest Service Road 27 and head west for approximately 5 miles. Stay right at the junction of Forest Service Road 27 and Forest Service Road 250 to merge onto Forest Service Road 250. Scotty Creek Trailhead will be on your right about a ½ mile from that junction.
