Collar Peak Trail is a great day hike that is in the Judith Mountains near Lewistown, Montana. This trail is maintained by the BLM. Collar Peak Trail is roughly a 5 mile loop with a variety of terrain and beautiful scenery. Girl Scout Camp Trail veers to the south from Collar Peak Trail. Girl Scout Camp Trail follows the Collar Gulch Creek. There are a few spots along the trails damaged by downed timber and trail washout from flooding.

How to Get There

Collar Peak Trailhead is about 20 miles from Main Street in Lewistown, Montana. Take US Highway 191 north from Lewistown 10 miles out, turn right onto Maiden Gulch Road. Stay on Maiden Road for about 13.5 miles toward Judith Peak. The trailhead is on the right hand side of the road. Look for the BLM sign marking the trail.
