The 36 historic shipwrecks in the sanctuary have stories that tie into the growth of the nation between the 1830s and 1930s. This collection of steamships and schooners educate visitors of the story that made the expansion possible. Visitors can enjoy this sanctuary by kayaking along the river or boating across the water surface to see this beautiful piece of history.
