The open area covers 8,560 acres about six miles northeast of Delta. While it's open to cross-country travel of all types, including biking and hiking, the heaviest increase in use is attributed to off-highway vehicles (OHVs) such as four-wheelers and side-by-sides. When in the area of the western slope of Colorado take the time to visit the Delta OHV recreation area. In this area, you don't have to stay on designated trails. It is wide open to off road travel. Cross country or use the trails that are established in the area. Just a 15 min drive from main street in Delta. North Delta OHV area is over 8500 acres of "Open" cross country riding opportunities for all uses (motorized and non-motorized). Located minutes from Delta, CO. From Grand Junction, head southeast along US 50 to the town of Delta. Head north from town on St92 to its intersection with State Highway 65. Take State Highway 65 north to Fairview Road (on the left. ) Follow Fairview Road to the parking lots in the OHV area.
