About Duncan Trailhead

This trailhead accesses Duncan and Bighorn trails in the Gunnison Gorge Wilderness. Duncan Trail is a steep, rugged wilderness route to the Gunnison River. It is not suitable for horses. Bighorn Trail connects Duncan and Bobcat trails, and is suitable for horses. Trailhead amenities include a shade structure, picnic table, vault toilet, and an informational kiosk. There is a self-serve fee station for use of the wilderness, including Duncan and Bighorn trails. For more information, please contact the Gunnison Gorge NCA or Uncompahgre Field Office.

How to Get There

From Olathe, Colorado drive east on Falcon Road for 3.8 miles. When the road turns to gravel, it becomes Peach Valley Road. Continue on Peach Valley Road for 4.8 miles, then turn right on Duncan Road. Follow Duncan Road 1.8 miles to the trailhead.
