From Buena Vista, Colorado, travel south for about 7 miles on Highway 285. Turn right onto County Road 162, and travel west passing the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs resort (private), for 6 miles. An information kiosk is located on the right side of the road, just across from the Colorado Trail (#1776) trailhead.
