About Junior Ranger Headquarters at Hidden Valley

Open during the summer, Junior Ranger Headquarters is a place just for kids! Located on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park at Hidden Valley, Junior Rangers of all ages are invited to stop by and explore! Hidden Valley is located on Trail Ridge Road approximately 7 miles from the Beaver Meadows or Fall River Entrances. Junior Rangers and their families have the opportunity to stop and learn about forest ecology, wildlife biology, animal track identification, plant identification, and much more!

How to Get There

When traveling from Estes Park, enter RMNP using either the Beaver Meadows or Fall River Entrances via U.S. Highway 36 or 34 and drive towards Deer Ridge Junction. At Deer Ridge Junction, follow the signs to Trail Ridge Road and Hidden Valley. Hidden Valley is approximately 7 miles from the east side entrances. Look for the turn for Hidden Valley. When traveling from Grand Lake or the west side of RMNP, drive on U.S. Highway 34/Trail Ridge Road east-bound approximately 40 miles and look for Hidden Valley.
