About Elliot's Ridge #1889

The Elliot Ridge Trail provides panoramic views of the area including the Gore Range. The trail is an old double-track road that follows a broad ridge and enters the Eagles Nest Wilderness Area. Meridian Peak is near the end of the ridge and is a great destination. Another option is connecting with the Upper Cataract/Mirror Lake trail and dropping down into the Cataract drainage. How to Get There

From I-70 take Exit 205, Silverthorne/Dillon, and travel north on HWY 9 for approximately 27 miles into Grand County. Turn left onto Spring Creek Road, Grand County Road 10. Follow Spring Creek Road (GCR 10) for 6.8 miles and bear left at FDR 1830 (Doenz Place). After this intersection the road becomes FDR 23. Continue on FDR 23 for approximately 1.10 miles until the fork in the road. Take the right fork, FDR 23/1831, and travel approximately 5.39 miles to the trailhead and parking area.
